Babysitting and Vegas

Well, I have been babysitting Carter, Laura's baby for about a month and a half. I think he and Cale are getting closer to the time that they can play without hurting each other. Bryan loves to take pictures of the two of them together.

Cale has been so cute smiling for the camera, he even climbed into his old bouncer and smiled for the camera. He smiled again in his Daddy's All Star outfit my parents got for him. He is also learning to wave at people. So in one of the pictures on the slideshow below he is waving.

We went to Vegas middle of September. We watched an AVP Beach Volleyball Tournament. It was a lot of fun. We stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations. It was nice. The bulk of our trip was spent at the courts at Mandalay Bay. We have lots of pictures of Cale in the Sand. He LOVED IT!!!! He loved crawling around in it, chasing volleyballs, letting it slide between his fingers, etc. He face planted a few times and got a mouth full of sand. The sand was so fine that it was hard to brush off. We went and watched a guy Bryan played volleyball against in college, Jake Gibb. There was also another guy from Utah there playing, his name is Casey Patterson, he played for BYU. There is a picture of Bryan, Cale, Casey, and Cash (Casey's baby) Future AVP players. There is also a picture with all of us and Jake Gibb. For those of you who watched the Olympics, he was there in 2008 playing volleyball, they took 5th.

We stayed in Vegas until Saturday night and Bryan decided that it was time to drive back. So 9:30 Salt Lake time we headed out. We got back at 3:00 am. Cale slept the whole time pretty much so he wanted to stay up for a while a little after we got home. Lets just say I was so exhausted the next day I couldn't think straight. Las Vegas was fun though, hot, but fun.

End of Summer 2009

The end of Summer came fast. Stacey came to visit in July. So we got the three little ones, Cale, Cheyenne, and Carter together. Laura, Stacey, and I went out to lunch @ Cheesecake Factory.

During July Cale started crawling. At first he was trying to crawl with his head down into the ground. He finally figured out that it wasn't working. Now I can't take my eye off him for one minute because he is automatically into something he is not supposed to be. I tell him no, he gives me a mischievous, and continues doing what he is not supposed to. Little stinker. Cale also started smiling for the camera. SO a lot of pictures in the slide show are of him smiling for the camera. Every time he heard the noise the camera makes when it turns on he automatically squints his eyes and gets ready for the flash and smiles.

August rushed by. My brother, Seth, came to live with us before he moves down to Mexico in December. His wife is already there with their son, Alex.
Cale started standing himself up in August at 6 1/2 months. Crazy how fast he is changing and growing up. He seems to do something new everyday.
I started watching Carter, Laura's baby when she went back to school. There are a few pictures of Alex, my brother's baby, Cale, and Carter. They are pretty cute.

Park City Fun

My sister, Heedy and her family came up to Utah in June. We hung out in Park City and played at the park. For Father's Day Bryan, Cale and I had a BBQ with Heedy and her family and Seth and his Family. The next week my mom and dad were up in Park City. WE got a couple of pictures with Cale and his Cousin Alex (Seth's Baby)

Cale and Uncle Danny. He was the only one that could get him to take his nap

Here Comes the REAL Food!

In June we started giving Cale Rice cereal. He wasn't too sure about it at first. We gradually started adding new things to his diet. Here are some pictures so you can enjoy some of the same moments we have.

First Try at Peas, not his favorite

He does like sweet potatoes though!!!

I think nectarines are his favorite though.

Oatmeal and applesauce, and now he smiles for the camera. (he is squinting, getting ready for the flash!)

Summer, Summer, Summer Time!!!

Well, school finally ended May 29th. Done forever yay!!!! The last week of school grades were due Wednesday, the students last day was Thursday, and on Friday we had a faculty breakfast and graduation. I brought Cale with me to the faculty breakfast and everyone went crazy over him.

It feels so nice to be done. Last week was my first week of vacation and first week as just a mom. It went pretty well. Weather wasn't that great, but it was ok. Monday I got new running shoes so I could break them in for the 1/2 Marathon this weekend in Bear Lake. I am running with Laura and Brad. Tues, Wed, and Thurs. I hung out with the little guy who did not want to take any naps longer than 10 minutes. Friday Bryan actually took him to work with him. I got so much done.

I am telling you he loves the bumbo and his Pooh. These last 2 pictures are actually his favorite position in the bumbo. When we try to sit him upright he will cry.
Here he is just smiling away, as usual. He also loves to laugh.

Here is his second time swimming. The first time was Memorial Day with Laura and Brad. I didn't get any pictures, forgot my camera, but hopefully Laura can hook me up with some ;) We went swimming at Seth's Place. The water was warm and Cale was just splashing and splashing. It was funny, he would splash himself in the face and get this surprised look on his face and then just keep going. He had lots of fun!!!
